Today's gospel.           John 21:1-14 
       
In the text, Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, the disciples went fishing and they caught nothing the whole night. It was only when Jesus directed them to cast the net into the deep that they caught plenty of fish. Jesus had breakfast with the disciples by the shore. Again, He showed Himself to them. 

  *Let us pray* 

Lord Jesus Christ, fill our empty life with Your Risen life and nourish our souls with Your Word and Sacrament, the Body and Blood. Invites us to eat: ‘Breakfast is ready!’ to/from the abundant table ready - of fish, food, love, warmth, and great joy. The table where fractured relationships are healed. May we in turn nourish, heal and love those we meet today.
