Today's gospel 
Mathew 13 v53to58.

This reading is very challenging, because if we had to sum it up in singular words we could use astonished, contempt, unbelief, reproach words.
But our kind and amazing Jesus, a mere carpenter' son could give such  powerful parables in His own country He should have been loved and respected, but this is what happens when people are envious of a person.

They did not believe that Jesus was capable of the great things He spoke about.SO THEY LOST OUT ON WITNESSING MORE MIRACLES.
The question today is, what mighty works do we need to believe God today?

Let us pray 

Our heavenly Father, help us to have a listening ear to hear all you have to say to us.
Give us a teachable spirit so that we can grow in grace and knowledge of You and Your Word, we pray.
