12.08.24 Today's gospel Matthew 17:22-27 Jesus, once again, predicts His death and resurrection, leaving His disciples confused and afraid. But Jesus teaches them about the power of faith and trust. May we have confidence that God can move mountains, overcome obstacles, and provide for our needs. The story of Peter finding the coin in the fish's mouth is a remarkable example of God's provision. Jesus doesn't just provide for our material needs; He also provides for our spiritual growth. May we, like Peter, confess our faith and trust in Jesus. May we experience God's provision and care in our lives. And may we always remember that our faith is not in our own abilities, but in the power and goodness of God. Let us pray Lord, help us to realize the importance of faith in the face of uncertainties and fears. May our faith overcome obstacles and challenges today and always. Amen.
