Brief comment. 

Jesus teaches about the cost of following him:

1. Deny yourself, surrendering to God and putting God's will above your own will.
2. Take up your cross: Accept the challenges and sacrifices that come with following Jesus.
May we obey Jesus' teachings and example.

Adding to the 
Gospel reading is 
Proverbs 3:10 - 26.
 This text is all about a virtuous woman.
This is for all you women of God.
Thank you for your support, love and guidance. You are the backbone of our families, and we are truly grateful for all that you do. Your wisdom and the kindness.

Let us pray.

Father God, we pray you take us to that point of maturity where we realize that our lives do not belong to us and that we are instruments to further your Word and gospel.
In Jesus 'Mighty name, we pray.
