Today's gospel Matthew 9:1-8

In the text today, Jesus forgives the paralytic's sins. It signifies the authority of Christ to restore us to wholeness for His Kingdom. 

The friends' faith in Jesus' ability to heal their paralytic friend leads to the man's physical and spiritual restoration. With faith in Christ, obstacles can't stop Christ from healing us.

Let us pray 

Lord help us to bring the sick to you for complete restoration, in body and in spirit. 
We believe in Jesus' authority, the importance of faith, and the connection between spiritual and physical restoration. Lord increases our faith.

Amen.
