02.06.25 Today's gospel. John 16:29-33 In this reading, Jesus foretells trouble and persecution. Verse 13 reads as, " _I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!_ " Jesus Christ offers peace to His disciples amidst challenges. Jesus has overcome the world, giving us hope. No matter what we encounter, we have hope in Christ. Brothers and sisters, in this world, will face trouble, but Jesus has prepared us, and assures us peace that transcends worldly difficulties. Jesus' peace calms fears and anxieties. May we trust Jesus' victory over any battle. With trust and confindence, may we rely on Jesus' peace and presence. Let's stand firm in faith amidst trials. Let us pray. We humbly beseech You Lord Jesus Christ, in the midst of challenges, graciously offers us calmness, peace and victory. May we trust in Your presence and power, finding peace and courage in You today and always. Amen.
