Today's gospel 
Mathew 6 v 19 to 23.

Let's call this reading "Our forever indestructible treasure in heaven."
We need to remember that we are on earth but for a season. So, we need to have a clear and focused mind that allows us a spiritual light to fill our bodies. Our hearts must be drawn to the treasures of heaven and not earthly treasures. So, the will of God must be our focus and not the opinions of other people. Let our hearts be with our forever life in heaven. 

Let us pray.

Father God, we pray today that you teach us to be generous and give to those in need, teach us that true wealth comes from serving others and following your will. Teach us to obey your command as in today's gospel passage. We pray.
