Today's gospel 
John 21 v 15 to 19.

Let's call this reading the restoration of Peter.
Here, we see Jesus' forgiving nature and restoring Peter to his apostleship. Jesus also emphasizes the importance of love through action. Even though this reading was meant and directed to Peter, it also offers a broader message to all of us about love, and forgiveness. The most important one is the call to serve others.

Let us pray.

Father God, we pray that you lead and guide us to be faithful in our calling. Help us to be able to tend to the needs of others, to be able to follow your example in all things. May you guide us to be ready to GLORIFY YOU.
