16.07.2024 Today's Gospel Mathew 11:20-24 Then Jesus began to denounce the town in which most of his miracles had been performed because they did not repent. Woe to you, Chorazin, Woe to you, Bethsaida, for if the miracles performed in you had been performed by Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Siden on the day of Judgement than for you. And you Capernaum will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades for if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom. It would have remained to this day. But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgement than for you. Reflection Jesus rebukes the city of Chorazin, Bethsaida, Capenaum for the lack of repentance in light of the many miracles that he performed among them. May God help us to believe so that we may get a better place than Hades. Let us pray Holy Father gives us an undivided and courageous heart so that we will confront the wrong thing in our own life. Your word is clear for all who have eyes to see and a heart that believes on Christ for forgiveness of sin and life everlasting AMEN.
