Gospel Reading
Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy,and my burden light.”

Reflection

The gospel is about humility, simplicity and pride. Jesus lived a very simple life, and we, as Christians, must follow Him. Simplicity of heart is an expression of one’s humility and a virtuous life. And when we are tired in responding to God’s call, Jesus offers us comfort and love through His presence and love for us.

Something for us to think of in our quiet time. 
Do you trust in God with your whole heart?
How do we entrust our lives to God?

Prayer

Lord, help me to find refuge in You, to find strength in Your love. Thank you, Jesus, for Your promise of rest. Thank you for being my refuge, my strength, my ever-present help in times of trouble. In Your name, I pray.
