10.06.24 Today's gospel Matthew 5:1-12 The Beatitudes The text is about the Sermon of Jesus Christ on the Mount. They're called *Beatitudes, blessings*. Jesus Christ teaches us the way to true happiness and fulfillment. He shows us that true blessings come not from worldly pleasures but from a deep relationship with God. The Beatitudes reveal the heart of Jesus' message: compassion, humility, mercy, and love. As we reflect on these Beatitudes, may we: - Seek God's kingdom and His righteousness above all else. - Rely on God for strength in our weaknesses or sufferings. - Show mercy and kindness to those around us. - Hunger and thirst for holiness and justice. Jesus speaks today of how we find happiness, how we are totally blessed. He has a view of happiness from many others. We find Jesus' happiness in being humble, gentle and kind, and being people of integrity and in making peace. Let us pray Lord Jesus Christ, graciously pour Your Spirit upon us so that we may embrace Your teachings. Lord may we know we are truly blessed even in the midst of hardships as we and as we follow You. Amen
