Today's gospel 
Mathew 5 v17 to 19.

This reading is all about the nature of SIN.
Jesus tells us that heaven's standard of righteousness is way beyond our human capability.
This reading was also directed at the Pharisees who despised the commandments of God, so made their own.

Jesus teaches us by word and action, by saying and doing.
Plain and simple. Let us walk it and talk it.

Let us pray.

Father God, thank you for your forgiving nature and unconditional love for us. Your guidance and the protection that you give us from worldly pressures.
