24.03.25 Today's gospel Luke 4:24-30 In today's reading, Jesus is in Nazareth, His hometown, but His own rejects His ministry. Jesus states that no prophet is accepted in his own town. Jesus' message is not limited to His own people, but is for all humanity. In anger, the crowd attempts to kill Jesus, but He passes through the crowd unharmed. We must recognize that salvation is not limited to our own group. We are called to share the message of salvation with all people, as Jesus did. He moved on to other place and shared the message there. Let us pray. Heavenly Father, help us to recognize the universal nature of salvation, and to share the message of salvation with all people. Give us courage to face opposition and rejection, just as Jesus did. Amen. ReplyForward
