Today's gospel
 *Luke 15: 1-3, 11-32*

 *Reflection* :
In this parable, Jesus gives a vivid picture of God and what God is like. God is truly kinder than any of us. He does not lose hope nor give up when we stray from him. He is always on the lookout for those who have a change of heart thus want to return. He rejoices in finding the lost and in welcoming them home. Do I still know the joy of repentance and the restoration of the relationship as a son or daughter of the Heavenly Father?

 *Prayer*
Gracious God, we come before you, humbled by the story of the prodigal son, a story that reflects our own journeys of wandering and return. We acknowledge our times of straying, of losing our way, and of falling short of your love. May we, like the prodigal son, find the courage to come home, to confess our sins, and to seek your embrace. Forgive us, Lord, for our mistakes, and help us to live in the joy of your forgiveness and the strength of your grace. May we, like the father, always be ready to welcome back those who have strayed, and to celebrate their return. We pray for a heart that is open to your love and a spirit that is always seeking you.
 *Amen* .
