FEAST OF ST. JOSEPH 

Today's gospel 
Matthew 13:53-58

Jesus returns to His hometown, where He grew up, and starts teaching in the synagogue, where people know Him. The people are amazed by Jesus' wisdom but take offense at His humble origins. Their unbelief hinders Jesus' ability to perform miracles.

May we not undermine Jesus' background as this leads to dismissing His message. Faith is necessary for Jesus to perform miracles and for us to experience His power. Let us  approach God with humility, recognizing our limitations.

 *Let us pray* 

Lord Jesus Christ,  increase our faith in You. May we trust in God's power and promises, even when we don't understand.
Amen.
