Today's gospel 
John 20:22-29

In this text, Jesus breathed on the disciples, imparting the Holy Spirit on them. By so doing, Jesus gave the disciples authority to forgive sins and commissioned them to spread the gospel. As believers, we are given the Holy Spirit to empower us for ministry. The Holy Spirit enables us to forgive and reconcile with  others.

Thomas doubted Jesus' resurrection, highlighting the human tendency to question. Jesus' appearance to Thomas brought him to faith, showing  God's patience and love.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father,  may we experience the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. May we strive to live by faith, trusting in Your promises and power.
Let us bring others to faith.
Amen.
