01-05-24 Today's gospel Mathew 13 v53 to 58. This reading describes Jesus' trip to his hometown of Nazareth...some people are in awe of his miracles and teaching. But they do not respect him...instead, they question him about his wisdom and power...being the son of a lowly carpenter.... these people questioning him knew Jesus from his youth. The saddest sentence in this scripture is... that he did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief... So we need to be pure in our belief to be able to do mighty deeds and works. Let us pray. Father God teaches us to have faith and belief that we might be able to perform the mighty deeds and works that we are capable of. In Jesus mighty name I pray Amen
