Today's gospel 
Luke 1 v39 to 49.

This is a very significant reading.
Mary visits her cousin Elizabeth who is also pregnant. Elizabeth's baby leaps into her womb when Mary enters and greets her.
This significant incident shows that even though they are not yet born. John acknowledges the superiority of Jesus and recognizes that Jesus is God's SON.

Let us pray.

Father God,  we come before you today with a heart full of gratitude and Thanksgiving. 
We declare that you are Mighty and powerful and that you have done great things for us. We thank you for your mercy and goodness. May we give you all the honor and praise that you deserve.
In Jesus mighty name we pray.
