 Today's gospel 
John6:52-59.                                      . 

So by eating this bread they became participants in his dying and also in his risen life.
By doing this we have a personal one on one relationship with Jesus. 
As we partake of the Eucharist in faith it becomes a means of abiding in Christ.

This flesh and blood is also a journey into the life of the world bearing witness to the eternal life of Jesus.This Eucharist is the food for our missionary journey into the world for its salvation.

Basically those who eat the flesh and drink the blood are those who identify themselves with the sacrifice of Christ on the cross....every time you eat and drink this cup we are proclaiming the lord's arrival one day. 

 *Let us pray.* 

Father God, we lift up all those who are in need of your love, comfort and guidance.
Be with the lonely and suffering and the lost. Use us as a vessel of your love and also to be a source of encouragement in Jesus mighty name.
